Grace Kelly in Balenciaga

In 1954 Grace Kelly has worn the wonderful suit of Edit Head, wo was inspired of Cristóbal Balenciaga´s design in order to create the costume suit for the thriller "Rear Window" of Alfred Hitchcock.
There she has played the part of Lisa together with actor James Stewart as her boyfriend, who have watched the murderer in the opposite apartment.

The green suit of Grace Kelly including the long jacket with stand up collar, round shoulders and the lenght pencilskirt in slim cut have reflected her femininity and has been nearly identical to the design of Balenciaga.

Valentino´s coral motifs

In the past the italian fashion designer Valentino has used coral motifs for his clothing like the wonderful cape from the year 1968.
Years later the Ready-to-wear-collection from spring/summer 15 of valentino has presented the same pattern including coral motifs on materials like satin.

Sharon Tate in Roy Halston design for Harper´s Bazaar 1967

The model and actress Sharon Tate, even has become famous because of the marriage with her husband Roman Polanski has worked for magazines like Vogue or Harper´s Bazaar. She was named as "The American Dream Girl" because of her blonde hair and her significant eye makeup.
In her private life she has worn wonderful tunics of high society designer Roy Halston.
His design was glamorous and was even worn by the high society and stars like Liz Taylor or Liza Minelli.

In the year 1967 Sharon Tate has worn a wonderful hat and fur coat of Roy Halston for the Harper´s Bazaar edition, photographed by Bert Stern.

Catherine Deneuve in Yves Saint Laurent for "The Hunger" 1983

The vampire´s horror movie "The Hunger" from the year 1983 has addressed the relationship between fashion, youth, aging and even the death.
Only a vampire could be immortal - like fashion-design.

Miriam (Catherine Deneuve) and her lover John (David Bowie) have played the leading role as two vampires, living together in an old house. But only Miriam did not age because she was a centuries-old vampire.

The process of John´s sudden aging has shown the role of contemporary fashion and even the power of Catherine Deneuve´s costumes in this movie of Yves Saint Laurent in order to show his timeless quality.

André Courréges and his elements of the youthquake

André Courrége´s success was based on his ability to revitalize and preserve high fashion by injecting elements of the youthquake era into haute couture.
In the early 1990s Prada has recalled his design principles and iconic looks by showing the same pattern including big flowers on coats, pants, miniskirts, bags and A-line minishift dresses on the catwalk.
